Norton Abrasives was the company that makes grinding wheels and invented ignitors. Yes, you should visit the Saint-Gobain web site and look at the assortment of all types of these "glow-bar" ceramic ignitors they make. If these "Saint-Gobain" ceramic "glow-bars" are in series with the main gas valve solenoid the required valve "operating current" will not be met and the valve will NOT open!!! Try a new surface ignitor that is a exact replacement part. If unit has a fine-line crack the resistance will be higher than normal. ![]() Alay, Try to watch the "turn-on" of the hot surface-ignitor and look for a section or area that is somewhat brighter. ![]()
